Cultivate Better(TM) Cocoa chocolate

CultivateBetter(TM) Cocoa is an initiative sponsored by our primary cocoa supplier and we are so pleased to join them as partners. We participate by paying a premium for our chocolate supplies so that that the producers and growers get more money, to assist them in having a living wage. It also funds education and diversification, assisting individual harvesters and small local co-operatives. This project is very important to me to provide some more fairness into the cocoa system. We have made our commitment to provide an extra $500 US per tonne to help in this effort. We believe in the powerful connection between sustainability and community. And the sustainability of the cocoa sector depends on our collective effort to invest in our farming communities. With your help, we can work to build a healthy supply chain that supports the long-term sustainability of farmers, communities, and the environment.

NO SUGAR ADDED

No Sugar Added uses a number of different sweeteners because pure cacao is very bitter. We use a range of sweeteners, from Maltitol (a sugar alcohol) to stevia, and erythritol (another sugar alcohol). Diabetics, Keto, and Paleo dieters can access these choices without compromising their diets. Our newest 72% uses nectar from the coconut tree to create coconut sugar, with a lower glycemic index than regular sugar. The net carbs in this offering makes it Paleo and Keto friendly. We've also made it in a version with Cacao nibs. These are what the cacao bean breaks down into and are crushed to make chocolate. The fibre in the nibs make our bars even lower in glycemic index, if that is important to you.

DARK CHOCOLATE (also Vegan)

Vegan chocolate is chocolate made with no animal based products in them, for example, milk. We have a wide range of dark chocolate concentrations, which give different taste sensations. Ours range in cocoa content from 54% T0 91%. And it is CultivateBetterCocoa(TM)!

MILK CHOCOLATE

The most popular chocolate combination in the world! Our milk chocolate comes from sustainably harvested cacao plantations. This is supported by CultivateBetterCocoa(TM).

WHITE CHOCOLATE

Yes, white chocolate is real chocolate. At least ours is! The only thing missing in white chocolate from milk chocolate is the cocoa mass. The cocoa butter is what makes it real chocolate. And again it's supported by CultivateBetterCocoa(TM)!

Chapel Cove Chocolate is a small New Glasgow chocolatier. We produce gourmet CultivateBetterCocoa(TM) chocolate, made into bars and chocolate products for retail gifts, tourism events, conventions, weddings, and seasonal gifting. We are members of Taste of Nova Scotia, an organization which recognizes quality products made locally here in Nova Scotia.

All of our chocolate is gluten-free, and our chocolate is soy-free too. Our dark chocolate is lactose free which makes it vegan as well. We have selections that are diabetic friendly( no sugar), Keto friendly (zero carbs, good fats) and Paleo (pure raw food), so we suit many dietary needs! No need to feel guilty about liking chocolate!
